Sébastien's quotation marathon runner's story at Hanova

Sébastien joined our company in 2010, having gained his BTS in Customer Relations Negotiation in 2007. Before that, he worked as a flexographic printer, a job he carried out with professionalism for thirteen years. Over the last 3 years, his skills have grown and he has also taken on the role of team leader.

Then, in October 2023, Sébastien took a new turn in his career with us. He became a Methods Designer, a new position created because of sustained activity in the Sales department and a need in the Methods department. We needed someone who could juggle between the sales team and methods engineering, and Sébastien proved to be just the man for the job!

His missions? Oh, he’s got loads!
He helps the sales team to draw up quotations, calculate costs and keep an eye on our figures. He’s also there to support the methods engineer in continuous improvement projects. In short, he’s everywhere and does his best to ensure that everything runs like clockwork.

We chose Sébastien for this job because we knew he had potential. Rather than look outside, we opted to recruit internally. And we did the right thing! In less time than it takes to say it, he has adapted to his new role, moving from the world of production to the offices without batting an eyelid.

Sébastien at work:
– he’s technical and Cartesian, which means he understands things quickly and well,
– he’s full of ideas: he’s a thinker and likes to get things done,
– he’s responsible: he knows that our sales files are important and he takes good care of them,
– when it comes to meeting challenges, he’s the first to volunteer,
– he’s super-methodical in his work: nothing is left to chance,
– and the icing on the cake? He has an excellent sense of humour, which makes our days even better.

On the personal side? He’s great too!
For the last five years, Sébastien has been running. Trails, marathons, he loves it!
In fact, his last race was on 21 April 2024, when he ran the 59km Nord Trail Monts des Flandres with panache.
Willingness, steadfastness, anticipation, perseverance, the goal to be achieved: these are traits peculiar to trail runners, but they are also qualities and assets for his job!

Sébastien brings his good humour and professionalism to everything he does at Hanova.
