A world without plastic? A heresy!

We fully support the position of Polyvia (the plastics industry association): plastics are indispensable and part of our daily lives. As Pierre-Jean Leduc, President of Polyvia, states: « A world without plastics is heresy!
The year 2023 had already shown signs of a slowdown in some sectors, such as packaging. However, the plastics industry, with its ability to adapt and diversify, remains optimistic in the face of economic challenges.
🌱 Recycling: a major challenge
The future of the plastics industry lies in the integration of recycled materials. (See our article of 25 March) Polyvia is campaigning for the extension of eco-modulation schemes beyond packaging to make recycled materials more competitive with virgin resins. We share this sustainable vision, which is essential for the future of our industry.
💡 Raising public awareness
The challenge is also to change perceptions: plastics are essential, innovative and often invisible but indispensable. The « Osez Rêver » campaign initiated by Polyvia aims to highlight their role in our lives and promote a responsible approach.
The plastics industry remains one of France’s centres of excellence.
Let’s keep innovating to meet the economic and environmental challenges!
